“Piterman’s performance of the titular character is nothing short of perfection. His exceptional voice goes hand in hand with a beautifully tender portrayal of a tortured and fragile genius…. Seeing Josh Piterman as the Phantom is worth the ticket price alone.”
“Josh Piterman gives a striking, authoritative star performance. Piterman’s singing is masterful, his acting persuasive, even managing to extract sympathy for the Phantom’s predicament in his final scenes.”
Australian Arts Review
“Piterman is the finest Phantom by far. His incredible timber voice and the angst he musters up as the Phantom made for a highly emotional performance.“
“…A towering performance from Piterman, both vocally and dramatically, and it’s easy to see why he was a smash hit in the role on London’s West End.“
“A definitive Phantom…Piterman has the supple voice, and the psychotic yet ultimately sympathetic presence down pat.”
